Director, PMO & Delivery Governance
Location: North America
Position: Full-Time / Remote
Role Overview
The Director, PMO & Delivery Governance is responsible for leading Gogh Solutions’ Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring that all Professional Services (PS) engagements are governed and executed with consistent methodology, strong financial controls, and executive-grade delivery transparency.
This role oversees the PMO and PCO teams, portfolio-level delivery controls, project health reporting, and cross-functional governance processes. The Director acts as a strategic partner to the VP, PMO & Operations and as a governance counterpart to the VP, Delivery — providing independent oversight, execution transparency, and financial control to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
The Director, PMO Delivery has functional authority over all Project Managers and Project Coordinators and serves as the single source of truth for delivery status, financial forecasts, and contractual alignment across the PS portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Leadership & Governance
- Lead the PMO organization, including Project Managers and Project Coordinators, ensuring adherence to standardized delivery and governance methodologies.
- Maintain and evolve project governance frameworks, including templates, trackers, dashboards, quality gates, RACI models, and risk and change management processes.
- Drive cross-project consistency in scope management, schedule control, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Act as an independent control function validating delivery of health, forecasts, and risks separate from execution of ownership.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to standardize delivery processes and increase efficiency across the PS portfolio.
Portfolio Oversight & Reporting
- Maintain an enterprise view of all active projects, including timelines, financials, risks, and resource needs.
- Produce executive-level dashboards on project health, performance trends, margin exposure, and delivery KPIs.
- Ensure early identification of project risks, dependencies, and variances — with clear mitigation plans.
- Review and validate project status reports, RAID logs, and financial forecasts submitted by Project Managers.
- Own PMO systems and tooling (e.g., IFS Cloud, Monday.com, reporting platforms), ensuring data integrity, adoption, and executive-grade visibility.
Financial & Operational Controls
- Own PMO enforcement of project financial governance, including margins, billing accuracy, revenue forecasting, and change control, in partnership with the VP, PMO & Operations.
- Track project budgets against actuals, ensuring alignment with SOWs, approved changes, and commercial commitments.
- Ensure PMO compliance with timesheets, invoicing inputs, and revenue recognition requirements.
- Partner with the VP, Delivery on resource forecasting, project load balancing, and staffing prioritization.
- Enforce scope management and change control discipline to protect contractual entitlements and prevent margin leakage.
Delivery Enablement & Quality Assurance
Drive quality assurance practices, including deliverable reviews, phase-gate approvals, and post-project audits.
Ensure all project kickoff, execution, and closure governance processes are followed consistently.
Support creation and adoption of standardized delivery accelerators, playbooks, and best-practice guidelines.
Provide mentorship and training to Project Managers to elevate delivery maturity, financial awareness, and client communication quality.
Client Interaction & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support project teams in client-facing governance forums, including Steering Committees and QBRs.
- Serve as the escalation point for delivery risks, scope disputes, and timeline challenges requiring PMO intervention.
- Align with Account Management on client satisfaction, renewal readiness, and expansion opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders to reinforce confidence in Gogh’s delivery governance and transparency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience managing complex ERP or enterprise software programs in a professional services environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing PMOs, project teams, or delivery governance organizations.
- Strong understanding of IFS Cloud or comparable ERP, EAM, or field service platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of project governance, PMO standards, financial controls, and change management.
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to enforce accountability and structure across distributed, matrixed delivery teams.
Key Performance Indicators
- PMO compliance and quality of delivery governance.
- Accuracy of project financial and schedule forecasts versus actuals.
- Protection and improvement of gross margin across PS engagements.
- Timeliness and accuracy of executive-level project reporting.
- Client confidence in delivery governance and communication.
- PM and PCO capability development, performance, and retention.
