Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of complex software projects—particularly in Field Service Management—while serving as a trusted consultant for our clients. This remote role involves driving full-cycle project execution, from planning and scoping to delivery, training, and post-go-live support. You will manage multiple Professional Services projects concurrently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure quality outcomes aligned with business and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale, enterprise-level Professional Services software implementation projects from initiation to close-out.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocations, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Estimates at Completion (EAC) to proactively monitor financial performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, ensuring alignment with client expectations and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, timelines, and deliverables with a strong focus on budget adherence and financial accountability.
  • Create, manage, and negotiate Change Requests to control scope and ensure commercial viability.
  • Review and contribute to the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs) and business proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal sales teams, IFS professionals, and Professional Services delivery teams to ensure end-to-end success.
  • Conduct project status meetings, stakeholder updates, and financial health assessments.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships with ongoing engagement and trust-building.
  • Mentor junior project managers and lead efforts to enhance internal delivery frameworks and cost control practices.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years in Professional Services project management, ideally involving software or ERP implementations.
  • Proven background in consulting with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Hands-on experience with project financials, including EACs, forecasting, and change control processes.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of scope, cost, resource, quality, risk, and issue management.
  • Proficiency in project financial tracking, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of the software implementation lifecycle in a consulting or Professional Services context.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across business and technical teams.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to manage escalations and scope shifts constructively.
  • Ability to inspire teams, manage deliverables, and build collaborative relationships with clients and vendors.
  • High-level problem solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred/Assets

  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SSM, ACP)
  • Experience as a Team Lead or Functional Lead
  • Experience with IFS or other ERP system implementations
  • Experience writing and managing SOWs
